Low budget and straightforward, the Sliver music video was made to promote the only single from the Incesticide album.
The video was shot in Kurt`s garage, which was decorated to look like his old apartment in Olympia, Washington. The video simply features the band playing along to the song in this setting, with shots of some interesting items Kurt had pulled out of storage.
Director Kevin Kerslake shot the entire video on a Super 8 video camera, standing on a chair for the bird`s eye view. Kurt had scrawled the message “Indie Punx Still Sucks”, which was captured along with shots of various magazine covers.
The video also features a cameo of Cobain`s daughter, Frances Bean Cobain. Kurt had cut arm holes in a cardboard backdrop to make it seem as though the toddler was dancing along with the music.
