Apparently, Charles Cross says the rights to Heavier Than Heaven have not been sold, which may or may not put the possibility of a TV movie based on Kurt Cobain’s life into question. The WB Cable Network recently announced that a possible TV movie is in the works and that the film will be loosely based on Charles Cross’s “Heavier Than Heaven” biography, and will follow Cobain’s life from his early days in Aberdeen through to his rise to fame. (though you don’t need the rights to loosely base a script on a book). The film has yet to find a director, but script writer Robert Munic says “The storytelling will have a nonlinear style, flashing to different parts of his life out of chronological order”. The film could possibly be aired on WB network as early as next year.
